Personalized Wine glasses

So let’s talk about Christmas gifts! I know it’s only the beginning of November but Christmas is just around the corner. If you’re like me and you’re making handmade Christmas gifts now is the time to get them started and finished fast. Because let’s face it Christmas sneaks up on us every year. I also wanted to point out that these personalized Wine glasses are a great any kind gift. These will be perfect for hostesses gift, house warming gift, birthday gift, I’m sure you get it the idea. I’m also going to include a YouTube video below that will also explain the process for these.
These wine glasses are very simple to make but do require a little bit of time. I’m going to try to explain this the best I can, if you have any questions you can e-mail me or send a private message through my YouTube channel. Let’s go ahead and talk about the supplies you’re going to need for this project. First you need some kind of a glass; I purchased mine from the dollar store. Next you’re going to need some glitter, for this project I prefer to use extra fine glitter. You’re also going to need mod podge, triple thick brilliant brush on gloss glaze, paintbrush, vinyl( I prefer to use outdoor vinyl oracle 651), some kind of die cutting machine, paper towels or baby wipes. And I also forgot to mention transfer paper or contact paper. Okay let’s go ahead and get started making these.
Step one is putting on the glitter. On my wine glasses I used to coats of the glitter on the darker colors, and on the pink glitter I use three coats. It really just depends on your own preferences. So I took my paintbrush and painted on a very thin even layer of mod podge and then coated it with a layer of glitter. Repeat this step as many times as you prefer just remember to leave each layer dry at least 4 to 5 hours in between coats.  For my glasses I have used extra fine glitter, and that would be my recommendation on what to use. I do not know what the results would be if you use a course glitter.
Step two is to put on a topcoat to make your stem and base smooth again. I like to use triple thick brilliant brush on gloss glaze. You can pick this up at any Hobby lobby, Michael’s or JoAnn fabric stores. Now the trick to make this stuff work is very thin even layers, and leave them dry completely before applying more. Now for my glasses I had used three layers, and I had left each layer dry for 24 hours. Now that might have been a little bit of overkill but I wanted to make sure that they were completely dry.
Step three is to cut out your vinyl. I used my silhouette to cut my out. You could use any font you would like. I used monogram KK for the initial (that would be the black vinyl), and Gabriella for the names (that would be the colored vinyl). If this is your first time cutting vinyl you want to make sure that you do a kiss cuts. There are plenty of videos on YouTube explaining how to do that.
Step four is to weed your vinyl and use your transfer paper or contact paper to prepare the vinyl to be put on the glass. I do explain this process in my YouTube video which I’ll have posted below.

That’s it now you have a beautiful personalized wine glass either for you to enjoy or for somebody else. These wine glasses are very inexpensive to make but yet look very expensive. I hope I explained this process easy enough for you to understand if I didn’t I apologize. As I have stated before if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me either send me an e-mail or send me a private message through YouTube. Once in 12 years!-Processed Layout

Okay so for today’s post I’m going to share with
you a layout that I had completed about two weeks ago, with this layout there is a very funny story behind it. For this layout I used my Septembers Scraptastic kit.  As usual there will be pictures below and also a YouTube video that explains my whole scrapping process. Now just to give you a little bit of information about the story line behind this layout, Jason and I have been dating for 12 years now and occasionally we play a card game called rummy 500. So for anyone who doesn’t really know about this game, it may be called something else but I know it as 500, the whole purpose behind the game is to get to 500 points. I’ve been playing this game all my life since I can remember it’s a game of choice we plan my household. When Jason and I got together it never played this game so my parents and I taught him how to play. And for the whole 12 years we’ve been together he has never won a game with me. Back on August 1 we had a date night’s we came home from dinner and are TV was not working. So with nothing else to do we decide to play a game of cards and we ended up playing about three or four games and finally on the last game Jason won.  He was so excited and happy that he had finally beaten me at a game of 500 that I have to take pictures and I had to scrap this moment in a relationship. I know it may not seem like a lot of other people but for the Jason this was something really big and I was also very happy for him. But I also do want to point out just in case Jason decides to read this post he did only win by five points. But hey a win is a win, whether it is by one point or by 20 points a win is a win no matter what, and I would never take that from him.
I’d like to thank you for taking the time to stop by my blog, I really do appreciate it. As I have already stated below will be a YouTube video where I walk you through my scrap booking process. Again thank you so much for your time today, and please join me socially. All of my links are in the upper right-hand corner. And to be quite honest with you I am more active on YouTube and instagram. Have a nice day and until next time bye.
